Once you connect an account, GC AI reads from it when you ask and takes actions in it on your behalf, helping you move from a counterparty's overnight email to a drafted reply in a single conversation.

Connectors Across the Apps In-House Teams Already Use
Each person connects their own accounts at Settings, then Integrations, then Agent Connectors. Every connector shows a summary of what it does before you sign in, and if you ask GC AI for something that needs an app you have not linked, it offers a connect card in the thread.
The connectors live today are: Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, OneDrive, Microsoft SharePoint, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Dropbox, HubSpot, Notion, Confluence, Asana, Linear, GitHub, Granola, USPTO, Agiloft, and Ironclad.
More are on the way, and which ones come next is driven by what customers ask for.
A few examples of what they can do today:
Answering the counterparty without leaving the thread: A deputy GC can ask GC AI to "draft a reply to the counterparty's latest email and ask for their comments on section 4," then follow with "schedule a 30-minute follow-up with Jordan next Tuesday." Both stop on an approval card, so that the email and the meeting go out only after she has read what GC AI wrote.
Closing the loop in the channel the team actually watches: A legal ops lead can ask GC AI to "post to #legal that the MSA redline is ready for review," so that the handoff lands where the business already is instead of in a status update nobody opens.
Walking into a customer call already briefed: An in-house lawyer supporting sales can ask GC AI to "pull HubSpot context on Northwind before my call: deal stage, owner, and recent activity. Include anything from my calendar today that mentions them," so that the CRM record and the calendar arrive as one brief instead of two lookups.
Because a connected account feeds the same chat as your Playbooks, your company profile, and the agreements already in your workspace, a question about an overnight email thread can run against the positions your team has encoded rather than general contract knowledge.
Decide What GC AI Is Allowed to Do
With per-action permissions, you set each capability on its own: needs approval, always allow, or block. Needs approval is the default for anything that sends a message or changes a record, so the first time GC AI wants to reply to a counterparty, a card appears in the thread showing what it intends to send. You approve it once, always approve that action, or deny it.
If you would rather GC AI never touch a capability, block it. If a connection has outlived its use, disconnect it in Settings.
Administrators hold the switch above all of this. They enable or disable Agent Connectors for the whole organization, and at Settings, then Policies, they can see which members connected which apps. That view is a connection audit rather than a window into anyone's mail, and an admin cannot connect an account on someone else's behalf.
All together, it is a way to let GC AI act for you while you keep the final say on anything that leaves the platform.
Do You Need Agent Connectors if Your Team Already Has GC AI's API?
They solve different problems. GC AI's Legal AI API is for systems: code, a Zapier flow, a batch job that runs whether or not a person is watching, authenticated with a key.
Agent Connectors is for the lawyer sitting in GC AI who wants their own inbox, drive, and channels available in the conversation, authorized through their own sign-in and gated by an approval card. A team can run both, and most will.
Start From Where Your Work Already Is
Connect the two accounts you open most, usually your mail and your document store, and the context comes to you instead.
Agent Connectors runs on the same infrastructure as the rest of GC AI: SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 certified, GDPR compliant, with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit.
Every AI provider in the stack processes your content on a zero data retention basis, and each one is named on GC AI's subprocessor list, along with the service that authenticates your connections. GC AI does not use your confidential inputs to train commercial models.
You authorize every connection through that provider's own sign-in, so GC AI never receives your password.
Agent Connectors is generally available in GC AI as of July 31, 2026.

Yes, and several legal AI vendors now integrate with CLM and legal ops systems, so the question worth putting to any of them is which systems, how deep, and whether a person or a script is driving. Agent Connectors covers Ironclad and Agiloft alongside Gmail, Outlook, SharePoint, Google Drive, Slack, HubSpot, Notion, Confluence, Asana, Linear, GitHub, Granola, and the USPTO. What changes day to day is that a contract record becomes one source among several inside a single question, so you can ask for the CLM entry, the counterparty's last email, and the version sitting in a shared drive without leaving the conversation or exporting anything.
Are ChatGPT and Claude Connectors Enough for Confidential Legal Work?
General assistants do offer connected apps, admin control over which actions are available, and approval prompts before a write action runs, so governance by itself is not the difference. What differs is what the connected data lands next to. In GC AI, a thread pulled from your inbox arrives in the same chat as the playbooks your team encoded, your company profile, and the agreements already in your workspace, so a drafted reply can reflect your standard positions rather than general contract knowledge.
Does Connecting AI to a Corporate Email or Document System Require IT Sign-Off?
For Microsoft 365 it usually does, once. Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint typically require a tenant-wide admin consent before anyone in the organization can connect, and it has to be granted again only if the connector later asks for broader permissions. Microsoft tightened this in late 2025, so third-party apps reaching Exchange and Teams content now need admin approval by default. Google Workspace and Slack usually do not stop you out of the box, though both give administrators a switch to require approval and security-minded companies increasingly turn it on. Plan on one conversation with IT before a Microsoft-heavy rollout, and pilot on Google or Slack while it moves.
What Happens to Email and Contract Files an AI Reads From a Connected Account?
It is used to answer the request you made rather than copied wholesale. Agent Connectors works on what you ask for in chat, a thread, a file, a calendar range, instead of keeping a standing mirror of the account, and the exact reach depends on the provider and which tools you left enabled for that connector. Review the summary and the tool list before connecting, and use Disconnect in Settings to revoke access. The service that authenticates connections is named publicly on GC AI's subprocessor list, so your security team can review it before you connect.
Can AI Answer Questions About a Contract Stored in SharePoint Without Downloading It First?
Yes, and the distinction worth understanding is snapshot versus live. A one-time import brings files in as point-in-time copies, with no continuous sync and no background access to the account afterward. A connector is built the other way around: it queries the connected account at the moment you ask, so what comes back reflects the version sitting there now rather than a copy taken last month. Ask for the document by name, by counterparty, or by what it contains.
Who Should Own the Connection to a Work Email Account, the Lawyer or the Company?
In practice ,the lawyer owns the connection and the company owns the switch. Each person authorizes their own accounts through the provider's sign-in, so nothing runs on a shared service mailbox by default and nobody inherits access to a colleague's inbox. Administrators enable or disable the capability for the whole organization and can see which members connected which apps, which is a connection audit rather than a window into anyone's messages. That split leaves authority over a mailbox with the person who owns it while keeping procurement and offboarding control with the company.
