Juro Legal AI Review [2026]: Pricing and Contract Workflows
By Caitlin Price, Social Media & Content Marketer•Published
Juro legal AI combines contract drafting, playbook-based review, approvals, signatures, and a searchable repository in a contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform.
Juro is worth considering when your team needs colleagues to start routine contracts from approved templates and route exceptions to legal. Before committing, examine the playbook maintenance, Word handoffs, and contract-volume and AI limits your team would need to manage.
For in-house teams looking for legal research, contract review, and advice ready for the CEO and business, we recommend GC AI. Our legal intelligence platform helps counsel investigate the law, revise agreements in Word, and prepare a response the executive team can use. GC AI supports 2,100+ legal teams, including teams at Riot Games, Lockheed Martin, TIME, Bass Pro Shops, and Wayfair.
How Juro Handles the Contract Lifecycle
Juro lets a colleague request a contract from an approved template. Legal reviews exceptions, designated approvers authorize the agreement, and the team signs and stores it in Juro. Operator answers questions about stored contracts.
| Contract Stage | Juro Capability | What to Evaluate |
|---|---|---|
| Request and creation | Templates, business-user self-service, and connected business systems | Whether business users supply the facts legal needs |
| Negotiation | Playbook-based AI review, collaboration, and Word integration | Which changes need a lawyer and how the document returns to the counterparty |
| Approval and signature | Configured approvals and electronic signatures | Whether the right people approve exceptions and sign the final version |
| After signature | Repository search, extracted data, reminders, and Operator questions | Whether answers and dates match the executed documents |
Juro's AI connectors let users ask Claude or ChatGPT to draft and edit contracts from Juro templates. Legal still needs to control access and review the changes.
Juro AI Review: Your Templates vs. Counterparty Contracts
Juro uses different review workflows for contracts based on your company's template and agreements supplied by a counterparty.
For contracts based on your company's templates, AI Review runs in Juro and assesses the counterparty's redlines against your playbook. For contracts supplied by a counterparty, the Word plug-in reviews the whole agreement against the playbook and suggests changes for you to accept or reject.
A playbook tells Juro which contract positions to accept or flag. Legal must check the rules for each agreement type and keep them current. Juro's AI Review currently supports English; confirm AI Assistant and AI Extract language support separately.
Juro's AI Review rules cannot yet be conditional or copied between playbooks. Different agreement types can therefore require separate rule maintenance. Have the person who owns your contract standards build and revise a representative playbook during the evaluation.
Word Integration: Preserve Redlines Between Versions
Juro’s Word integration supports editing, comments, redlines, and version synchronization.
How Juro handles Word redlines depends on whether the contract started as a Juro template or an uploaded Word file. A DOCX upload for a template-origin contract treats tracked changes as accepted before comparing versions; the Word plug-in preserves individual suggestions.
For a contract originally created by uploading a Word file, a new upload replaces the previous version and imports tracked changes as suggestions.
Use a contract with comments, tracked changes, and your usual formatting. Have counsel and a colleague complete the Word handoff, then check that the returned file preserves the edits and context the counterparty needs.
Operator: Risk Review and Beta Intake
Operator can assess a PDF or Word document against a company playbook, a Juro default, or general AI judgment. General judgment does not apply your company's preferred positions. Risk review produces findings; proposed redlines use the Word plug-in.
Juro's separate contract-intake workflow is in beta and needs an administrator to configure document types, questions, playbooks, and reviewers. Automatic review applies to unsigned DOCX files. Confirm availability, PDF handling, and who decides exceptions before relying on it.
Juro's US agreement restricts sensitive, business-critical, and regulated data in beta services, subject to service-specific terms. Use permitted sample documents to test whether an exception reaches the right legal reviewer.
Juro Pricing: Contract Volume, Integrations, and AI Limits
Juro quotes subscriptions by contract volume and integration requirements rather than publishing a standard rate. Request the annual price for your actual document volume and connected systems.
Plans include unlimited users, workflows, and templates. Deeper integrations, including Salesforce, HubSpot, and Workday, cost extra. The quote therefore needs to cover the documents you process, the systems you connect, and the AI features you use.
Juro's US master services agreement makes growth and renewal terms worth checking against your order form:
- Additional volume: New-document capacity is purchased in increments of 200 documents. The added capacity is charged for the full current contract year, regardless of when it is purchased, and permanently increases the limits used for subsequent years.
- Renewal: Fees increase automatically by 10% after removing discounts, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Ask Juro to confirm whether these terms apply to your purchase, alongside integration charges, onboarding responsibilities, and any negotiated exceptions.
AI usage has separate limits under Juro's August 2026 policy: 500 completed Operator tasks per customer per month and 10 AI Reviews per user every two hours. Reaching a limit may temporarily restrict AI use. Compare these allowances with your team's expected review volume and Operator tasks, and confirm extraction limits in the quote.
Track contract volume, AI Reviews, and Operator tasks separately; capacity in one does not establish capacity in the others.
What Your Team Needs to Maintain
Legal supplies Juro's approved contract positions and decides who can approve exceptions. Your implementation owner configures templates, playbooks, approval routes, and integrations, then updates them when company terms or responsibilities change. Budget for that configuration, ongoing updates, and legal review of exceptions alongside the subscription.
How to Assess Juro's Security and Data Terms
Juro reports a SOC 2 Type II attestation and access controls. Its current security materials specify TLS 1.2 and 1.3 for data in transit and AES-256 for data at rest. Ask your security team to examine the current report and its scope, along with the data-processing terms and subprocessors relevant to your configuration.
The AI terms deserve a precise read. Juro's US master services agreement prohibits training on Customer Data except for a model used solely to provide services to that customer. The agreement also requires deletion of that customer-specific model within 60 days after the agreement ends.
The exception for customer-specific models should be part of your vendor review. Confirm which terms govern those models and how Juro and its providers handle processing, retention, and deletion for your configuration.
How GC AI Compares With Juro
Juro and GC AI both support contract review, document editing, and analysis of stored agreements. Juro combines these capabilities with templates, approvals, and signatures in a managed contract process. GC AI brings cited legal research into that work, so counsel can examine the legal basis for a requested clause before proposing a response.
| Buying Requirement | Juro | Why We Recommend GC AI |
|---|---|---|
| Research Primary Legal Sources | AI Review checks agreements against playbooks; Operator answers questions about contracts and their data. | Research produces cited analysis of primary law so counsel can assess the requested clause. |
| Inspect Relevant U.S. Court Opinions | The documented review and repository workflows assessed here focus on agreements and contract data. | US Case Law searches federal and state opinions and opens cited decisions in the Opinion Reader for counsel to inspect. |
| Apply Company Positions in Word | The Word plug-in reviews counterparty paper against a playbook and suggests changes. | GC AI for Word helps you revise clauses using supplied company positions; counsel decides which edits to accept. |
At Snyk, Senior Managing Counsel Alexis Palmer described using GC AI when enterprise counterparties request language tied to regulatory requirements:
A lot of times they’ll ask for language tied to regulatory requirements, and I’ll use GC AI to research what those requirements actually are
Palmer says she uses that research to draft language that works for both sides.
A disputed legal requirement shows how research can inform contract review. Consider a hypothetical customer who inserts a privacy obligation into its agreement and says the wording is required by law. Your team needs to examine the asserted requirement, decide what the company can accept, and explain the response to the account team.
For the hypothetical privacy clause, counsel could use this workflow:
- Establish the question: Supply the requested clause, the customer's stated rationale, relevant jurisdictions, and the facts about your service. Ask GC AI to distinguish a legal requirement from the customer's preferred contractual protection.
- Research the requirement: Ask Research to identify the statutes, regulations, or decisions supporting the customer's reading and explain how they apply to your service. Our Research agents investigate in parallel and reconcile findings into cited analysis. Counsel checks the authorities and resolves gaps before taking a position.
- Revise the agreement: Supply your company's approved wording, acceptable fallback, and exceptions that need approval. With GC AI for Word, draft a clause that reflects the checked requirement and your positions, then review definitions and related obligations. Counsel decides which terms to accept, negotiate, or escalate before sending the revised agreement.
- Explain and approve the response: With our Agent Connectors, find the account team’s latest thread and draft a response using the checked requirement and proposed clause. Prepare a follow-up task for any missing business fact, with an owner and deadline. Counsel checks the recipient, wording, owner, and deadline before approving the action and returning the agreement to the company’s approval and signing process.
This connected-app sequence is illustrative. Start with Needs Approval for actions that send or change data. Availability depends on organization access, administrator enablement, each member’s connected account, and the app’s enabled tools and permissions.
Both products also analyze stored contracts. Our Contract Intelligence answers portfolio questions with source citations, and Current Terms reconciles related agreements and amendments. Compare the answers against the same signed contract family when evaluating repository analysis.
Our attorney-led courses help lawyers build practical AI skills for their team's goals, such as faster contract reviews and clearer business advice. You practice prompting, review agreements in Word, and build Playbooks around your company's standards directly in GC AI. Team plans include Solutions Attorney support to help you apply that training to your own matters and develop workflows your team can reuse.
