Founder and CEO Cecilia Ziniti's "Under NDA" Product Demo at the 2026 GC AI Summit

“So, under NDA - wink, wink. It’s not,” Founder and CEO, Cecilia Ziniti said, kicking off GC AI’s product session at the GC AI Summit. The reason, she explained, is simple: customer obsession. “We’re one of the most open companies about our roadmap. I remember sitting in your shoes.”

What followed was a concrete look at how GC AI is evolving from a chat interface to a platform that works across contracts, Slack, and eventually, the rest of the legal tech stack.

GC AI Is Becoming Agentic

The first takeaway was that GC AI is moving beyond answering questions; it’s doing work.

In the demo, Cecilia and Solutions Attorney Taylor Robertson showed playbooks that automatically review contracts against your negotiation positions, flag harmful clauses (including ones not in your playbook), and apply redlines directly in Word. The effect is compressing hours of review into minutes without losing lawyer judgment.

As Cecilia put it, GC AI feels less like a tool and more like a collaborator. “With our intern metaphor, you’re like, ‘Hey, GC AI is really smart. It actually says what I’m saying.’ It pumps you up in the right way. Calls you out on BS if you’re having BS.”

Behind that “feels better” experience is data:

  • 3+ million legal questions answered

  • 8,038 pieces of user feedback read and incorporated

  • 3,542 code changes

  • 15+ model upgrades

The throughline is trust. The goal is an intern - think Andie from The Devil Wears Prada - who is “always 1% better every day.”

The Demo: SaaS Contracts, but Make Them Boring (in a Good Way)

Taylor Robertson’s portion of the session grounded the platform vision in a familiar scenario: reviewing a vendor SaaS agreement.

At “Nike,” Taylor runs GC AI’s SaaS MSA playbook against an Atlassian agreement with roughly $1 million in annual spend. With one click, GC AI surfaces where the contract aligns with standard positions and where it doesn’t.

Some flags were expected:

  • A hyperlinked Data Processing Agreement instead of an attached exhibit (“We don’t ever agree to hyperlinked DPAs.”)

  • Missing confidentiality coverage for pricing.

  • No survival period on confidentiality obligations.

The moment that landed hardest with the room was what GC AI flagged outside the playbook: a unilateral modification clause allowing Atlassian to change policies mid-term. “This doesn’t work for us,” Taylor said. “We will have already onboarded our team… and now they’ll have to choose between accepting whatever they change or looking elsewhere.”

GC AI is exercising trained legal judgment.

Legal Judgment, Now Available in Slack

The second half of the demo showed where we’re heading.

Cecilia shifted back into character - this time as a business stakeholder with a question about a university sponsorship agreement. The only problem is that Taylor, her in-house lawyer, is on vacation.

So Cecilia does what business users already do: she goes to Slack and asks directly.

“@GCAI What does our agreement with UCLA say about basketball?”

GC AI answers using Taylor’s configured rules: it can respond to straightforward business questions, cite the underlying agreement, and notify legal in the background. If the question were more sensitive, it would escalate instead.

“This is kind of incredible, right?” Cecilia said. “She’s on vacation. She’s having her Mai Tai. This is happening with her judgment, her contract.”

That’s the vision in plain terms: legal guidance that’s available where the business already works, without turning lawyers into bottlenecks or replacing them.

Or as Cecilia put it earlier in the session:

“Your intern, your Anne Hathaway, can stand in for you when you’re on vacation.”

Ready-to-Run Playbooks - and Why That’s a Big Deal

One of the most pragmatic announcements of the session was the launch of ready-to-run playbooks for:

  1. Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements

  2. Data Processing Agreements

  3. SaaS Master Services Agreements

  4. Commercial MSAs

These work out of the box, and that’s deliberate.

“The product has to be good enough to use out of the box,” Cecilia said. “You don’t need to spend six months on training and implementation. You can just get right in and start using it.”

For teams with custom positions, Easy Playbooks extends the idea. Upload your existing fallback guide or negotiation memo, and GC AI converts it into a structured, reusable playbook.

The Roadmap: Meeting Lawyers Where They Work

GC AI is becoming connective tissue.

What’s coming includes:

  • Google Drive, SharePoint, OneDrive integrations

  • An API (already in alpha)

  • Tabular review across thousands of documents

  • Granular context controls

  • Workflow integrations with Slack, Salesforce, and CLM systems

Cecilia summed it up with one of the session’s most quoted lines:

“The hottest new programming language is English.”

In other words, the future isn’t learning new tools - it’s telling your existing ones what to do.

The Iron Man Suit

Cecilia closed by picking up on a metaphor Ashton Kutcher, GC AI investor and Summit speaker, had introduced earlier. AI is like wearing an Iron Man suit for lawyers, and if you say you’re not going to wear the suit, you’re going to lose.

“When you think about what the Iron Man suit looks like, it looks like having things stand in your stead.”

Not replacing lawyers or automating judgment away, but extending it. AI learns your legal instincts, so your experience shows up consistently on lower-risk work, especially when volume is high, and you’re not in the room.
